When You Need a New Toilet in La Crosse

Lots of La Crosse homes near Cass Street and Grandad Bluff have old toilets. Some are decades old. Cracks in the bowl are a bad sign. So is a toilet that keeps rocking. A tank that won't stop running means it's time for a new one. We've seen old wax rings fail and leak onto floors. This can rot the wood under your floor if no one notices. Our local water has lots of minerals too. This makes old flush valves clog faster. Waiting on a bad toilet almost always costs more later. Water damage can spread quietly under your floor. A good install matters more than you'd think. Getting the wax ring, bolts, and level right stops leaks for years[1].

Common Jobs

Cracked Toilet Bowl

A cracked bowl leaks slowly. You might not notice until it stains your floor. We swap it out before it causes more harm.

Toilet That Keeps Running

Old flush valves and flappers waste water and raise your bill. A new toilet often fixes this for good.

Loose or Wobbly Base

A rocking toilet usually means a broken wax ring or bad flange. We check both before we put in a new one.

Bathroom Remodels

Updating your bathroom? We put in new toilets that match your style and save water.

Low-Flow Upgrades

Many La Crosse homeowners switch to high-efficiency toilets. This saves water and may get you a rebate.

Old Rental Fixtures

Rentals near UW-La Crosse often need fast toilet swaps between renters. We can turn these around quick.

Recently moved into a new home and called this team for some (minor) plumbing fixes. Several of these issues were more intensive than expected, and I'd like to thank them for not only being willing to fix several things in one day, but for their excellent service the entire time! The one who helped me out explained everything and answered all my questions, and I'll be calling them in the future for additional fixes!

This was the second satisfactory job that was done by Advanced Plumbing for me. The first was a large job replacing my sewer system under the basement floor! A shocking discovery for me but handled professionally and seamlessly by their crew. I was very pleased and confident with the work done. They were very patient and willing to explain the details I wanted.
My second experience was not as complicated as I thought it may have been. I thought I had a leaking bathroom pipe. I was pleased to be told it was just a leaking hose into my refrigerator ice machine. Problem corrected within an hour!
I love these guys! I don't really want to see them again but I know the job will be done correctly if I need them.

We had a great experience with the plumbers who worked in our home, Jack and Richie. They were professional, respectful, and really listened to what we wanted. They took the time to make sure everything was done right, kept the work area clean, and were a pleasure to have in our home. We had them replace two shower valves and fixtures, and two drains. Their attention to detail and excellent customer service were greatly appreciated. We would recommend this company and especially appreciate the outstanding work done by Jack and Richie!

Common Questions

Toilet Installation Questions

Here are answers to questions La Crosse homeowners ask a lot.

  • How much does a toilet install cost in La Crosse?

Most jobs cost between $250 and $700. The price depends on the toilet model and the flange. We give a free same-day estimate before we start work.

  • How long does a toilet install take?

Most installs take one to two hours. If the flange or floor needs fixing, it may take longer. We'll tell you upfront if it will take more time.

  • Should I install a toilet myself or call a plumber?

A bad seal can cause leaks that rot your floor. A plumber makes sure the wax ring, bolts, and flange are set right. It also keeps your one-year labor warranty safe.

  • How often should you replace a toilet?

Most toilets last 15 to 25 years with normal use. Older homes near Grandad Bluff often need new ones sooner. Cracks or nonstop running mean it's time.

  • Can I wait to fix a cracked toilet?

No, waiting usually makes things worse. A small crack can turn into a steady leak that damages your floor. Call us as soon as you notice a crack.

  • What signs mean I need a new toilet?

Watch for wobbling, running water, cracks, or clogs. La Crosse water has lots of minerals, which wears out flush valves fast. Any of these signs mean it's time to call us.

  • Do you put in water-saving toilets?

Yes, we put in high-efficiency and low-flow toilets. Many La Crosse homeowners pick these to save water. You may even get a rebate. We can help you pick the right model.
